Where do the rates come from?

From the official websites of exchange offices and banks (for example TT Exchange). Our server checks them about every 20 minutes during the day; at night (01:00–07:00 Bangkok time) updates pause. Some rates are entered manually after checking. The Bank of Thailand rate shown next to them is the average rate of Thai banks, not an exchange rate.

Why can the rate at the exchange office differ from the app?

An exchange office can change its rate at any moment, and the app shows when each rate was last checked. The rate also depends on your banknotes: large bills (for example $100) usually get a better rate than small ones. Always confirm the final rate at the counter.

How do I report a wrong rate?

Open the exchange office in the app (on the map or in the list) and tap Report a wrong rate. Enter the rate shown on the board, choose your banknotes if asked, and tap Send. No sign-up, name or email is needed — we check every report. For other problems (closed, moved, different hours) use Report a problem in the same card; a missing exchange office can be added from the map with Add an exchange office.

Which exchange offices and banks have rates? Where's my exchange office?

For now the app has rates from T.T. Currency Exchange — more than 50 branches in Pattaya and Jomtien, with their approval — and from two banks: Bangkok Bank (through the bank's official API) and GSB (from the rates page on the bank's website). A bank's rate is the same at all its branches — confirm the final rate at the counter. We add other exchange offices after checking them on site (licence, address, hours). If you know one that's missing, tap Add an exchange office on the map. At any exchange board you can also open Exchange office not listed? Check its rate on the Rates tab: the app compares it with the best open branch and tells you whether to change there or go on.

Why doesn't a bank show a rate?

We show a bank's rates only with the bank's permission or through its official API. Until then its branch is on the map with opening hours, and the card has a Rate on the bank's website ↗ button that opens the bank's own rates page.

Does the app work offline?

Partly. It shows the last downloaded rates and says when they're from; the rate check at a board and the converter keep working. The map, routes and fresh rates come back with the connection.

Do I need an account? What do you collect? Does it cost anything?

The app is free, with no account, ads or purchases. Your location stays on your phone. Only the forms you choose to send (for example Report a wrong rate) reach our server — without your name, email or phone number. Details are in the privacy policy.
